Customer Service Representative (CSR)

We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative that will accurately and efficiently provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our clients might face. Our goal is to ensure consistent, excellent service standards, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and retention.

Summary

This individual must be able to work with minimum supervision, have the ability to estimate projects, and apply independent judgment to resolve challenging problems in complex situations. This role assures that customers receive efficient and courteous service at all times and acts as a liaison between customers and various departments within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media
  • Use telephones to reach out to customers and verify account information
  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling
  • Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges
  • Advise on company information
  • Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers
  • Place or cancel orders
  • Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale
  • Act as the company gatekeeper
  • Suggest solutions when a product malfunctions
  • Attempt to persuade customer to reconsider cancellation
  • Inform customer of deals and promotions
  • Sell products and services
  • Utilize computer technology to handle high call volumes
  • Work with customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered
  • Close out or open call records
  • Compile reports on overall customer satisfaction
  • Effectively manage large amounts of incoming calls
  • Generate sales leads
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits, and follow up to ensure resolution
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers

Position Requirements

  • Proven customer support experience
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products – Outlook, Word, Excel

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The majority of the work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine sitting, walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to twenty pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

Residential Glazier

Sound Glass Sales, Inc. is a family owned company seeking a full time Residential Glazier with experience in the glass industry.

Duties include glass fabrication and installation of replacement glass, shower doors, mirrors, glass railing systems and window/patio doors.
